INNOVATIVE SOFTWARE APPLICATION/TOOLING INTERNSHIP

Description Of The Project

GPS/GNSS positioning is becoming a common element in IoT, Autonomous and 4th revolution technology. Septentrio’s GNSS products play an important role on this aspect which thanks to its accurate and flexible integration. The internship will go over finding best ways to link the values of Septentrio’s GNSS (e.g. anti-jamming/anti-spoofing or others) into software tools which could be either monitoring toolsets or cloud based solutions. The solution should help to further exploit the values of Septentrio core technology into easy-to-use systems for multiple applications such as UAV, security monitoring systems, or other autonomous systems.

Responsibilities Of The Intern

You will gather general requirements and come up with an innovative proposal for a new GNSS software idea targeted to GNSS security or other receiver value of Septentrio’s receiver. You also will get familiar with the Septentrio values on resilience and the data output of signals which can help further integrators of the technology. Further, you will evaluate possible ideas which can help use cases such as: networks, UAV applications, or other autonomous systems and create big impact in the community. Your main goal will be innovation.

You will make a high-level design for the software and will identify the software elements needed to make the system to work in the easiest way. If applicable you will use toolsets such as AI or similar. You will program the software or tools which can help as a demonstrator or even as an operational software, document fully the design and make it available online so that community can adopt the software integration as easily as possible when using Septentrio receivers. The final solution should work in an intuitive way.

You

You study IT Software Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Physics, Electronics Engineering or similar and you have good Linux/Windows programming experience. You also have good knowledge of C, C++ or Visual Studio and Python. Other programming languages are helpful. You are familiar with large data processing (analysis): this could be AI, with App development (Android or iOS). Further, you are graphical Design- or User interface-oriented. You also are motivated in connected systems, cloud programming, app programming, and/or Graphical interfaces. And you are flexible for task assignments and an independent worker with an innovative mindset.

You would be the ideal candidate if you have experience with Graphana or other toolsets for graph making and with Cloud environments. Or if you have knowledge or interest in GNSS jamming/spoofing, or you have GNSS background experience. And if you are familiar with MQTT, REST API’s, Jason or other web protocols.
